The Needham Science Center mission is to be a state-of the art resources for elementary students & teachers that inspires teaching and learning about our natural and engineered world. Located at the Newman School, the Science Center serves as the science curriculum and professional development resource for Needham grades K-5, providing lesson materials, teacher binders, live animal visits, equipment, and field trips.

2017-2018 Volunteer Opportunities

Save the date: Our next adult volunteer gathering will be Thursday, January from 10am until 12noon at the Science Center. The tasks will likely involve cutting and sorting. Snacks provided. If you're new to the Science Center, feel free to contact us - we're always happy to welcome new volunteers!

The Science Center is looking for....

- Spoons- silver or metal, teaspoon sizes, These will be used for grade 1 experiments with sound.

- Cocktail napkins- paper napkins in any color. These make parachutes for first graders experiments about the wind.
