                2020-2021 Bus Registration  

Due to the current situation we are all faced with, we are postponing the bus registration period for the 2020/21 school year, which was originally scheduled to begin on April 1st.

I will follow up with the new opening date once it has been established. I am hoping to have the new date determined over the next couple of weeks. When we establish the new date, we will ensure that you will be notified with reasonable time to prepare your registration and submit it to Transportation Department. We will provide instruction on the best way to submit your registration at that time.

We understand that this is a difficult time emotionally and financially. We will do our very best to communicate the next steps and make every effort to accommodate your bus registrations.

The Transportation Department provides services to:

  • eligible students, residing in Needham, in grades K-6, who live more than 2 miles from their assigned school
  • fee-based students, residing in Needham, in grades K-6, who live 2 miles or less from their assigned school
  • fee-based students, residing in Needham, in grades 7-12, regardless of distance
  • Boston students enrolled in the Needham METCO program
  • special education students who require transportation services based on their IEP
  •  If you are a fee-based rider, you may also register on line at My School Bucks, found on the home page of www.needham.k12.ma.us.
