Each elementary school has its own kindergarten program; check the school webpages for information about hours, calendar, or other questions.
The kindergarten program is designed to develop the “whole child.” Therefore, much attention is given to social and emotional development and to the development of good work habits in addition to skills related to all of the learning areas. The developmental curriculum takes children from where they are and brings them as far as they can go. The kindergarten is a half-day program. A fee-based enrichment program (KASE) is available for the other half day; children may register for two to five days a week.
