The purpose of our project is to educate the importance of diet in a person's life, and how it should change with different lifestyles. To study this we recorded our daily food intake and by analyzing the data (nutritional facts), tried to improve our diets to maximize our energy potential through the foods we ate.
Our data shows that people with more active lifestyles need more calories and higher levels of protein to build and repair muscles. To do so a person must evaluate the foods he eats, and choose a well balanced diet following three main categories: variety, wholesomeness, and moderation of fatty foods.
We have come to the conclusion that a person with an active can eat more, but must make wiser choices in his diet. In the same way a bigger, faster car needs more gas a bigger more active person needs more healthy foods to function.
It is relatively easy to apply good nutrition to our daily lives. Eating well, sleeping, and exercising make for a healthy human. We should pick foods from all the food groups, containing all the key nutrients and we will be healthy too.
