K-5 Science Curriculum

The 2019-2020 school year includes exciting new changes to science programming and curriculum. We are in the midst of a multi-year process of updating units to align with the new Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering Framework and Eight Practices of Science and Engineering.

When teaching older SC units (currently aligned to 2006 standards) remember to look at the unit "scope and sequence" for guidance.

Kindergarten	Full day kindergarten's integrated curriculum is comprised of four units and the science curriculum correlates as follows: Communities and properties of matter (earth science) Plants and animals (life science) Construction (physical science) Our Earth (physical science)
